About PetroCalcHub

PetroCalcHub is a free petroleum engineering calculator and formula reference for upstream workflows. It focuses on drilling, reservoir engineering, production engineering, PVT, petrophysics, geomechanics, and hydraulic fracturing calculations.

Formula reference

The public library contains 72 calculators with equation-specific units, variables, examples, limitations, source context, and calculation checks.

Free calculators

Calculator pages are available without sign-in, subscriptions, or usage paywalls.

In-depth references

72 calculators currently include separately written usage guidance, assumptions, limitations, common error checks, and source context.

What PetroCalcHub covers

The site stays inside upstream petroleum engineering. It does not cover refining, petrochemicals, commodity trading, downstream plant design, or broad oil-and-gas news unless a calculation directly supports upstream wellsite or production engineering work.

Publisher and editorial responsibility

PetroCalcHub is independently maintained and is responsible for the calculator implementation, original explanatory text, source selection, corrections, and publication decisions on this site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for any standards body, textbook publisher, software vendor, operator, or engineering consultancy referenced by a formula.

Only records with individually written explanatory material are published through the calculator directory, search results, topic collections, and sitemap. Published guidance is revised when a formula, unit basis, citation, limitation, or worked result is corrected.

The PetroCalcHub Editorial Team byline identifies the independent publisher responsible for each guide. It is not a claim of certification or third-party endorsement. Every operational use remains subject to qualified engineering review, the governing source, company procedures, and applicable regulation.
